Thanks to developer team of an Indian firm who has made nivio to access a desktop via web browser from any part of the world and after logging in your personal desktop is ready to use.It is world's first windows based online desktop. Main features of nivio are:
1.Your familiar Windows operating system always available
2.Further software applications available within seconds
3. Accessible via a browser so it is where you are
4. Files are always backed up
How does it works:
* The user visits www.nivio.com.
* The user logs in using a user id and password.
*The user has now a windows desktop.
*Within this desktop the user can work in way like they are using their PC.
*The data regarding your activities is stored with nivio, no backups are needed. No need to
take hard copy or soft copy of your files to any place. You can get it again whenever want,
wherever want on any PC after logging nivio again with your user id and password. Also no
worry for hard disk crashes, software failures etc. The service is always available.

However the minimum recommended band with for using the service is 128 Kb . The other limitations are:
1. Due to constraints in streaming technology, streaming Video is not always as smooth as one would like.

2. Gaming requires a complete refresh of the screen in terms of graphics, Gaming can seem a little disjointed.

3. Trouble in using multifunction printers.

Windows 2000/XP refresh rate problem

Use ReForce to fix the problem. This program is a UNIVERSAL and PERMANENT fix for the Windows 2000/XP refresh rate problem (whereas games run at lower refresh rates than possible, thus causing headaches, eye strain etc.). It works with ANY monitor (including the Plug & Play ones), and ANY graphics card. You can download it from http://www.pagehosting.co.uk/rf/. You can also find detailed instruction about how to use the programs on this site :

  1. Run the ReForce.exe file as you do any other file/program.
  2. Select your monitor in the combo box at the top of the window, if it is not selected already. In the same box, the program should also be able to tell you at a glance if your monitor is [ACTIVE] or not, and give you a helpful ID code, which is useful when identifying the Plug & Play monitors.
  3. You should now get a prompt saying that you have not customized any modes. So, select your display adapter and let the program fill the table for you.
  4. You may now adjust the frequencies/resolutions if you wish (mostly used with the Plug & Play monitor drivers), by double-clicking on the appropriate cell in the table. Please note, that if you create a mode that Windows does not like, that resolution will be disabled for use by that graphics card. For added safety, never set a resolution's frequency above what RefreshForce detected it to be the first time you ran it. If you're not sure, restore the monitor's backup, and start over.
  5. Click Apply and enjoy!
